BOMS Clan Hierarchy

At this time, BOMS is not a legal organization. It is in great hopes that one day We will have so many members and people interested in BOMS that the legal formality of establishing an organization is necessary.

Most titled positions are voted on annually. But there has to be someone who starts the clan in each area. Women shall be designated to positions by showing their desire and intent on establishing a clan in their area.

Queen Mother Matriarch - Mz Kay as She is the person who put the energy into organizing BOMS. She is responsible for meeting with and connecting with the Clan Matriarchs. She is the Mother - the beginning, the one who gives re-birth to Our unity, the one that brings the family together.

Clan Matriarch – person who is the leader and representative of a clan. Often the Clan Matriarch will be responsible for a regional area of smaller more localized clans.  On an annual basis, We shall chose who holds this respected position

Matriarch Elder or Matriarch Shaman does not refer to age or medical knowledge but identifies someone with a lot of knowledge and resources that is valuable to the particular clan. This Woman will assist the Clan Matriarch and stand in for Her should BOMS duties (such as a speech or presentation) prevent Her from being at a clan meeting. In a business She could be considered the General manager or manager. On an annual basis, We shall chose who holds this respected position.

Mother Matriarch refers to the kind and diligent Woman who seeks others to be in the clan. She is the one that we rely for emotional support and to always have a smile for us when we are in need.  On an annual basis, We shall chose who holds this respected position.

As the clans grow there will be more subtle positions that will evolve, much like chairpersons of a business. The clans shall determine these roles. They may include but are not limited to event planning, transportation organization, care giver organization, task management, public awareness, etc…

Depending on the area and the need of that area, a clan may be very different than another. In the same city one clan may focus on politics while another may wish to put forth it's energies into housing for women. There are generic  guidelines that all groups that are considered a part of the Black Orchid Matriarch Society would agree upon.
